Hey JRD athletes. I want to apologize. I should have communicated this a few weeks ago. We have decided to discontinue the monthly workouts and replace it with something else (that we think is better and we hope you do too).Â
Instead of “February” or “October” or “June” workouts we are going to be creating 4 week follow along programs that target a certain body part or theme. For example an abs focused 4 week plan, heavy rope 4 week plan, dumbbell 4 week plan, etc.
Instead of monthly (12 per year) we will be releasing 4 per year (1 every 3 months). They will have an updated look and new exercise demos.
Why are we doing this?
I’d rather focus on quality vs quantity. I’d rather create fewer but more targeted and effective workout plans that you can come back to and do over and over again. Updated imagery, features, exercise demos, clean look and user exp, etc as well.
I just want the quality and experience of this app to be better. In line with the philosophy of JRD, “more” does not always equal “better.” I want these workout plans to be something you can come back to again and again rather than do one for the month and that’s it.
So for the month of August there will be no new plan. Our first new 4 week plan will be launched September 1.
-We WILL still be making 1-2 new 90 day programs (like JRD Max or JRD90) per year.
-We are also currently working on the JRD athlete program and group coaching which will be released within the next 3 months. Very pumped on this and will share more soon.
I apologize again for not communicating all this with you sooner and will be better about making you aware of any changes in the app ahead of time.
