I've been off two weeks because of stitches in my shoulder. May have to do it again in a month or so. I've been running instead of jump rope workouts. I've noticed some physical changes; I think running trims me up (or down) better than anything so I'm gonna add some running to my week. Think I will start ninja all over since I'm not very far into it anyway.
Here's where I need your input since most of you understand the mechanics of jumping better than I do. My daughter has been trying to encourage me to do less cardio and more strength training. She said strength training is more important as I get older and cardio less so. and it is very easy to max out on body weight exercises. I've read in other places that cardio will eventually quit being as effective at weight loss especially for older women. Don't want to take up too much room here so don't know if I'm explaining this well. Is this true? How does a jumprope workout fit in with this?

Having a minor procedure done on the back of my shoulder that will require stitches and keep me from swinging a rope for about 2 weeks. What would some of you do in place of jumping jumping rope for 2 weeks?

I decided to repeat SN W2. For the first time I was able to jump for 1 minute (yay!) rest for 30 secs and finish out the last 30 secs for each jumping round. I did the 20 push-ups on my knees the first circuit and wall push ups the other two circuits in the allotted time. I'm good with that for now🙂. Thanks guys

So the first week of SN was great. It was within my ability range but still gave me a good workout. Week 2 stepped it up and really challenged me. I don't like to look to far ahead but I'm starting week 3 day 1 and I'm thinking this might be starting to get beyond me. What if I can't keep up?
This is my first JRD workout program and I'm not sure what to expect or how to handle it.

Well I really messed up this week. Work was stressful and I love chocolate and peanutbutter m&ms. And some Häagen-Dazs ice cream😳😠🥴. I hate that but it's done and over.
Going on a 4 day vacation. Want to enjoy myself but will try to eat a little better. Starting SN week 3 when I get back.

I haven't done any running in over a year. Today my daughter asked me to do a 15 min run with her so I did instead of jumping. I expected to do maybe half a lap. But no. I did 5 laps! I went at an easy pace and walked the top part of each lap but still.....with a warm up and cool down lap I did 2.08 miles in a little over 30 mins. I credit jumping rope for that. I am so pleased!

Kicked my backside today🙄
Three days a week is taking twice as long but what else do I have to do? Getting results even with that. Just do the thing.
