Thankful for a beautiful Vermont evening encouraging me to get out there when a headache and a day behind in my workouts had me contemplating sitting out today. Sometimes you need to dig deep to find more incentives than excuses. Glad today was one of those. JRDMax M2,W6,D2 in the books.

Brought my rope with me on family vacation in Hawaii. I was able to complete four workouts-it was so easy and portable! My iPad fit perfectly in the Crossrope bag so I could carry it with me and follow along with Dan. The resort fitness center didn’t have room but the tennis court was a great flat surface. No excuses.

On week 3 of month one of JRDMax and for the first time was able to maintain the squat hold for the entire 30 seconds. Week one I needed a 2 second break after 15 seconds. Progress!

Hey all! Just finished 7-Day Beginner Challenge and I have a few questions. Help a newbie out?

-Wondering whether to go onto JRDMax next or another program. Jumping is going well, just intimidated by the body weight portions. Is JRDMax going to be too difficult a transition? I am looking for more challenge and calorie burn than the beginner program.

-I have a soccer background. Translation: push-ups and pull-ups aren’t my thing. Do you suggest cranking out modified push-ups/pull-ups (with bands) for the duration or doing regular ones until muscle failure and waiting out the time? Also, what’s a good way to prevent/treat push-up soreness?

-I got bruises on my lower back/tail bone doing the ab cruncher exercises on the Crossrope oval jump mat. Anyone else experience this? Are there lots of ab crunchers in JRDMax or other programs, and do you think having a regular yoga mat on hand for that exercise would suffice?

Thanks everyone. Looking forward to doing the thing alongside you all!
