My attempt at proper form (chest-to-bar) pull-ups. Wow! These are WAY harder than just the chin-over-bar version because they require scapular depression and adduction.

4K Jumps done! I managed to beat my last PB, which I'm really happy about. I'd like to do the 4K Jumps every week regardless of which JRD program I happen to be doing. I'll just replace one of the weekly cardio sessions with 4K Jumps. It's just brilliant for both speed and endurance.

Did my 4K jumps this morning and achieved a PB! I made a conscious effort of speeding up (spinning the rope faster), while reducing my rest times. 200 skips - 20s rest. Then, every 1000 skips - 30s rest. Just about killed me!

Last week: 4k jumps - 38:57
Today: 4k jumps - 35:29

Dan Witmer, any updates on when the next shiny new program will be released? Word on the street is that you’re putting together a pull-up + jump rope program? 🙄

Question to anyone here who uses the Amp handles: is there a way of starting and stopping a workout recording with just the button on the Amp handle? I’m aware that you can pause a workout by simple pressing the button on the Amp handle, but to stop the workout entirely, you need to do so on the app itself.

What would be great is if you could simply use the App handle button to start and stop a workout without even opening the App.

I hate my AMP handles. But I love ‘em too! 😜 Although they’re absolutely killing me, I love that they’re challenging me to push myself to up my intensity.

That said, I don’t think a pure cardio program is optimal or sustainable, and for me nothing beats the mix that programs like the dumbbell + jump rope brings. You’re a genius Dan Witmer! Keep those programs coming!

Today I went to the Apple Store and bought a 4K Apple TV. When I was browsing through the App Store I came across JRD TV. Is that the same as the app? I tried to sign in, but it said I wasn’t registered. What I did manage to see were the daily workouts, but I’d like to get access to the paid programs, such as JRD Max, Dumbbell Program, Swole Samurai, etc.

I can get to these on my iPhone app, and I can also screen mirror to the Apple TV, but it would be nice to be able to run the app directly on the Apple TV.

Any suggestions, anyone?

Hi Guys, for those of you elite athletes who are following (or have followed in the past) a program that requires Amp handles, such as the Jump Rope + Dumbell program, I'm curious to know how you approached that particular exercise.

I decided to go ahead and buy a pair of Amp handles, which arrived today. I usually have the specific workout video playing on my phone, while I follow along, trying desperately to keep up with our fearless and intrepid leader, Dan the Man! I'm thinking that might not be possible if I'm also trying to track the number of skips with my Amp app running. So I figured I'd just only use the Amp app for those particular workouts (e.g. 4k Skips) and not worry about following along with Dan.

Am I overthinking this? 🤯

Hi guys, this question has probably been asked a thousand times, but I’ll ask it again. In terms of weekly training frequency, is six times per week considered excessive? I’m currently doing the Dumbbell + Jump Rope program, and I’m considering adding another day’s cardio. Rest is obviously important in any training program, so I’m wondering whether one day’s rest per week is enough?

Hey Dan, just curious: are you flying solo these days at JRD, or is Brandon still at the helm with you?
