| Jump Rope Dudes

My PT moved away two years ago and I've gotten out of shape and gained some inches. To get back in shape and lose some of those inches I've decided to make jumping rope my workout of choice but am not really good at it yet. So instead of doing ninja or samurai I decided to start the 60 day challenge next, I can't do 5 consecutive days yet, but goodness. I did three days last week. This week I did two consecutive and was so sore and tired I had to rest two days. Is that normal? Or is it being a 56 year old woman? Or just being out of shape? I really want to "Do The Thing" but man, I'm sore ALL the time! I don't remember it being this bad 4 years ago. If there are any 50+ women out there I'd love to hear from you too.
