I really like these body weight and jumping workouts, even with the DUs! I’m seeing continuous improvement so will keep at it. All it took was some good coaching and practice. 😂

I’ve shown my pull up bar and assist system here. It provides all the way from essentially no assistance to full assistance (was very helpful when I snapped my right bicep short horn tendon). Again, with practice, I have been continuously reducing the amount of assistance used.

Completed with lots of sweat! I significantly reduced my pull-up/chin-up assist today for the first time in over a year …… progress is definitely being made. 😅 And of course, the DUs are progressing nicely, albeit at my own pace. Life is grand! Have a great day all!

I forgot to check in this morning. DUs are coming along very well for me. I can now do several SU followed by a single DU several times. During the workout I am doing very good form Penguin jumps in place of the DUs. That’s a real workout as well. For now I’m saving the DU for dedicated practice time after the workout.

Well, did the thing for another week. I’m still excited about scoring some DUs yesterday and today. Some new muscle aches too that come with DUs. Have a great weekend all!

After 4 years of failed attempts at DUs, I finally today got my very first ever DUs! I, like Doug, practised after the wod and was able to also do 15 DUs (none consecutive yet) and even keep it going with SUs. I am so, so happy today! Thanks also to coach Ben at WOD Prep for some video pointers. Yippee!

What an awesome workout and challenge to end the month with. I liked all the different moves in the workout ….spices things up a bit.

The big news however is that I did 380 push-ups, with good form! I’m stunned that I could do that! Thanks for the challenge Dan and Brandon; I would never have done anything like this on my own!

I survived todays brutal workout and followed Brandon’s demo of squat hold to a tee! 😂🤣

Did the push-ups in sets of 10 with a rest in between. I found this to be the best strategy for me although it took me about 15+ minutes. What I liked was that I didn’t need to resort to knee push-ups and form was good for all push-ups. Great start to the week!

Like Doug, I did every workout this month on the day they were supposed to be done! That’s a record and a lot of it has to do with this community! You guys keep me accountable and the funny thing is is that I want to be accountable! It’s fun bouncing things off Doug and Papa Joe everyday. I can’t keep up with them but that’s beside the point! Can’t wait to see what wonderful thing are in store for June!

I loved todays WOD! It was all movements that I could do well and competently. It’s good to have a morale booster like this once in a while. I sub’d ½ lb in again and used my 1 lb for round 3. Have a great day!

Great leg day today! Funny how a WOD looks like it might be easy at the start but I sure was sweating by the end! Used the ½ lb again today for all jumping. It’s my favourite rope. Have a great day!
