Yes for some reason it bothers me not doing the 5 days a week for the programs but never minded doing only 3-4 days of the WODs… which is probably my sweet spot still today. Also moving things around is a good one👍 many thanks 🙏

Thanks Sigurd, I am trying to get back into running which was my go to sport until recently. Have been wondering how to combine the two. Good to know that it worked well for you 👍

That is a great achievement, Congratulations!

Did you incorporate jumping rope while training for the marathon?

Replied on Rope Sizes

The post recommended using any cheap rope to find the suitable length and then mesure that rope without the handles and go for the size of Crossrope that corresponds. (I simply mesured my Crossrope with knots that I had made in it in order to shorten it) .The bottom line was that the Crossrope guidelines are often too big and so going down at least one size might well be a good idea 😉

Hi Carl, I would recommend checking out the guidelines on rope size that Kathyjumps has on her IG. When I first bought Crossrope I followed their guidelines and got ropes that were way too long. They did work out ok for me in the beginning but as I progressed I saw this post I referred to on kathyjumps and ended up going down 2 sizes… the ones I have now are perfect so at least for me that was a better fit.

I tend to prefer shorter programs so this sounds good to me!

Brilliant idea 😊

I am actually doing something very similar to you Shelly. I have tried doing the programs (SN and JRD Max) but struggled to stay consistent for various reasons. For now at least doing the WODs mixed in with some simple strength/weights exercices has worked best for me. My main goal is to build strength - being able to do even just one pull-up would be nice 😊 and to get better at jumping rope in general. Tangible goals to works towards as mentioned in Dan’s recent post would be brilliant for this as I completely agree that working towards a goal is a really important motivation.
