which ropes is he using?I found this was a problem with the OLD Crossropes (like 5 years old), but never really happens with the new ones.Like others have said, if you are "choked up" and holding the handle close to the rope, this is more likely to happen (and you're also giving your forearms a break.... lower the weight and hold the end of the handle).

Just take it slow and do what you can. I do think it's really important to get CONSISTENT! My opinion is that, I'd rather you do 15 mins of skipping MWF, then a full half hour "when you have time."You MAKE time to brush your teeth. Make jump rope the same way and you'll see the results!
