Got inspired by the dumbbell program!
But seeing as I donโt have any dumbbells but have an X3 (resistance bands) I decided to make my own fusion ๐
So itโs 15-20 min of jump rope in the AM, 15-20 min of resistance training mid-day and ending it off with a 15 min deep stretch protocol.
Should be about the same, so letโs see if this will move the needle on my progress.
Been away for a while, got a bug the week before Christmas and had respiratory issues up until new years so just happy to be back at doing anything really ๐๐ป

Sleigh the Scale day 10 of 20 ๐ฑ
Did you realise getting out of bed this morning you are at the 50% mark of the challenge ๐ช๐ป half way there baby ๐ช๐ป
Also itโs Friday and the temptation on the weekend seems to have a greater pull on us! But come Monday, I hope you had the strength to stay on path, and you will see continued improvement ๐๐ป
Forgot to post yesterday but took the squat/lunges out of the workout and added in some more jump rope (gotta look out the those knees ๐)
Today was a bit hard to get through ๐ค throat is sore and with 4 min left on the clock I barely could breath!!! But my good mate Joe De Luca once quoted Goggins: โI donโt stop when Iโm tired. I stop when Iโm doneโ โ๏ธ
So I got it done. Now off to do my 125 pushups throughout the day ๐ช๐ป

Sleigh the Scale day 8 of 20
So I woke up, still some minor swelling in the knee ๐ so itโs gonna be a day of walking again..
6PM and almost 10k steps so still on track to reach the 16k for a โactive-rest-dayโ.
Letโs see if a little more IR/laser will help me back on the ropes for tomorrow? ๐๐ป
UPDATE: got to the 16k steps so Iโll call it a day, see you tomorrow

Sleigh the scale day 7 of 20
Knee is acting up again, so decided to take a โslowโ day and to equate for the lack of jumping my step goal for today is 16k.
Even if we need some low impact days, we still need to be moving ๐ถ
Some walking, stretching, and a little IR/laser treatment and hopefully Iโll be back on the ropes tomorrow ๐๐ป
UPDATE: +18k steps by 10PM so mission accomplished

Sleigh the Scale day 6 of 20
So today I decided to do my own thing. Had some minor ache in the knees from walking the Christmas Markets in the weekend (+12k steps each day) slow walking and standing still are the worst for me..
So just wanted to do something and took the AMPโs out for a swing. Wanted to do 100 skips every minut for 15 minutes.
But then I saw my rank on the leaderboard rise. Decided top #300 would be nice, but then I got to #260 then I need to go for #250 right! All of a sudden Iโm #220 so naturally I went for #200, and you know what soon I was #169 and then I remembered I just needed to do a little workout today and finally called it quits ๐
Ended up with 2.501 skips today well above the 1.500 that was my target ๐ฏ the feel of the handles might not suite me right now but the app sure pushes me though ๐

Sleigh the Scale day 5 of 20!
Hey fam ๐ you know itโs not only day 5, or Friday but today also marks the 25% completion ๐ฅณ
So letโs celebrate this weekend but honouring all our progress by eating healthy (perhaps even in a deficit) and staying active with low impact movement.
Come Monday you alone will face the consequences of your actions this weekend so letโs plan to start next week on a high note ๐ช๐ป

Not sure what I think of the workout today ๐ค was looking forward to all three exercises EMOM ๐ see that would have been a challenge ๐
Well a day of easy workout might be what I needed (physical NOT mentally ๐) so just looking forward to get blown out tomorrow ๐ช๐ป

It seems like the squats and lunges still is a bit of a problem for the knees ๐ nothing major, yet, only small irritations..
And had to cut it short, just didnโt have the extra 15 min this morning. So gotta get the missing chin-ups in tonight.

Sleigh the Scale day 2 of 20
So from a subtle reminder from Joe De Luca I tried to โhalf-assโ todays workout, to try and avoid further injuries. And guess I somewhat succeeded.
Still I may have pushed a little too hard but that has, and might always be, my โAchilles heelโ.. tonight Iโll do some deep tissue stretching and try to get to bed early.

Sleigh the Scale day 1 of 20
Feels great to be back at it, hopefully injury free this time ๐ certainly feeling the added weight Iโve put on the last 1-2 months of doing little work๐ but all the more reason to get it done ๐ช๐ป
This will also make the foreword to my next weight loss phase! Using this challenge to hopefully get back to where I was a few months ago and the January marks the first of two, 3 months weight loss cycles. Hoping to be down 40 lbs, by august 2024 (thatโs 1.5 lbs per week) ๐ฌ
But for now letโs just Do The Thing ๐ช๐ป
