I started with the recommended size and have since also sized down as form improved (elbows in and down- more controlled). With that said, I still prefer the longer ropes for my “flow” jumps (when I use a light or speed rope and my foot movements are more varied). I use the smaller rope for my heavy sets. I always recommend getting a cheapie-adjustable rope, play around with it and measure it at the sweet spot before investing in the Crossropes; you’ll have a better personalized idea of sizing.

Any plan EXECUTED is a good plan. I liked two in a row, one off for me. But that was to build consistency and get those four workouts in. My background is BSc in Nutrition/Physcial Fitness… and I feel it’s irresponsible for me to give you specific advice without knowing much much more… i believe if you get clearance and feel it’s right for you, you listen to your body and treat rest/recovery with respect- a M/W/F plan could be exactly what you need! Get started, stay dedicated and be flexible to make changes as needed to STAY IN THE GAME! You got this!!!

My experience when I started jumping rope was no more than two days in a row. Oh my goodness! My calves and shins were torched! So I fully was intentional about rest (active rest, cross training, lifting weights). I can only say what worked for me while I conditioned myself. My upper back amd core felt less, “oh my gosh- something is wrong!” sore, and more “oh yeah, I can feel what’s working!” sore. I think it’s risky for anyone to assess YOUR pain as “normal”… but it was part of the “normal” process for me.

Your surf suits drying in the background really had me some kind of confused 😂
I started with Crossropes and am thrilled with them.
Awesome! Thank you! (And great tip about checking them).
