So, is there a new workout program every month? Is that the same as the WOD?

I just finished 4 rounds of the 5 min cardio workout that uses the heavier ropes. I used the 1/2#, 1#, 2# ropes. Was only going to use them for one circuit but did 3 with them and finished the 4th with the 1/2#. I had to rest multiple times but I did it. Man, did that feel good!

My PT moved away two years ago and I've gotten out of shape and gained some inches. To get back in shape and lose some of those inches I've decided to make jumping rope my workout of choice but am not really good at it yet. So instead of doing ninja or samurai I decided to start the 60 day challenge next, I can't do 5 consecutive days yet, but goodness. I did three days last week. This week I did two consecutive and was so sore and tired I had to rest two days. Is that normal? Or is it being a 56 year old woman? Or just being out of shape? I really want to "Do The Thing" but man, I'm sore ALL the time! I don't remember it being this bad 4 years ago. If there are any 50+ women out there I'd love to hear from you too.

My husband keeps hitting his knuckles with the rope. Anyone else have that problem? It hurts and he is about to go get some weight lifting gloves to protect them.
Also are there any 50+ women here that I could address some questions to?

Man, you guys Do The Thing! I am totally intimidated. Just finished the beginner challenge. There feels like a big gap between that and what I see next. I'm dealing with a shoulder injury and can't do planks, pushups etc. Might can do pull ups on my Total Gym.

I'm about to finish the 7 day beginner challenge. Where do I go from here?
Adding the 3 tricks on day 6 was a game changer. At least for me. That's hard.

After a 2 year love hate relationship with my jump rope I have finally committed to it and am starting to enjoy it. I'm starting over with 7 day beginner challenge. I have done very well until today with day 5. I'm not good with the tricks but this felt like the hardest workout so far. I felt like I had never jumped rope in my life and I weighed twice as much. What gives? Is this normal?
