Lunges hurt my knees too but backward lunges seem to not hurt as much.

Chanda how is your nutrition? Do you use an app like MyFitnessPal or such?

I've been off two weeks because of stitches in my shoulder. May have to do it again in a month or so. I've been running instead  of jump rope workouts. I've noticed some physical changes; I think running trims me up (or down) better than anything so I'm gonna add some running to my week. Think I will start ninja all over since I'm not very far into it anyway.

Here's where I need your input since most of you understand the mechanics of jumping better than I do. My daughter has been trying to encourage me to do less cardio and more strength training. She said strength training is more important as I get older and cardio less so.  and it is very easy to max out on body weight exercises. I've read in other places that cardio will eventually quit being as effective at weight loss especially for older women. Don't want to take up too much room here so don't know if I'm explaining this well. Is this true? How does a jumprope workout fit in with this?

Oh Jessica, I'm sorry to hear that. I do a lot of stretching for mine. It might help you too when you are able.

Chanda, I understand that fear. I have it too. But I try to pay more attention to inches than pounds. How my clothes fit. You're doing great. Have a wonderful 2 rest days.
