Yes, I do prefer to be able to walk! ;)
Seriously, though, limping around work has not been awesome....

So, I have made the tough (and frustrating, to be honest) decision to pause doing JRD Max for now. I have been doing research about my ankle issue and it seems very likely that I have peroneal tendonitis. Mind you, I realize that is self-diagnosing, but I have worked at a veterinary clinic for over a decade, so I know how to ignore bogus medical information that is on the internet. (Yes, vet med is obviously different than human med, but the research process is the same - I can pretty easily "smell bologna" when I come across it on the web.)
My ankle was pretty stiff after being in a boot for 10 weeks; so, since November, I have been working to loosen it up and get it back to full function. It appears that, even though I got it pretty loosened up, I have not gotten it back enough to just jump right in (no pun intended) to something like JRD Max. As mentioned by several of you wonderful helpful/supportive people here, I pushed too hard and this is the sad result. Since I really don't want to advance from tendonitis to an actual tendon tear, I will be resting this week and following the RICE method of treatment (along with some PT exercises).
I'll see how it is next week, then maybe ease into doing the daily workouts two to three times a week. I'll work my way back up to being able to do a program like JRD Max. I'll still be cheering on all of you who are doing the program, though! You got this!

Not bone. It's either muscle or tendon, but I could not say which. I'm babying it as much as I can.

Thanks, Joe! I'm definitely being careful. I iced it afterwards and that seemed to help a lot. I work this morning and have it wrapped as a precaution. As weird as it may sound, I think I will ice it after work before doing Day 5. If it's feeling okay, I'll do the thing; if I experience sharp pain again, I will sadly NOT do the thing today.

So, today is my day 4. I didn't do it yesterday because I had a sharp pain in my right ankle that had me limping all day at work. When it's just normal pain, I just throw on a compression sock and power through it; but when it's a sharp pain, I take that as a warning and back off. I decided to wrap my ankle and rest it (especially since Day 4 is straight jumping). Today, it still ached, but it wasn't a sharp pain, so I did the thing (with both a compression sock AND a wrap). I'm not going to lie, it's hurting right now. I'm going to go ice it. Hopefully, it will be good for Day 5 tomorrow. 🤞

Thanks! It more like coming back from being hurt - I broke my foot on 7/31/22 and was in a boot for 10 weeks. There was no bone growth showing on my x-rays until late October and it was only just starting at that point.
I had my foot x-rayed again at the end of February and the break had finally fused together. (It isn't pretty, as the break was displaced, but the bone is at least one piece again.) Since my foot is just recently healed, it isn't used to this kind of activity anymore and my ankle had become pretty stiff after not being allowed to flex for 10 weeks, so it has been a process getting that to loosen up. I'm almost there, though. :)

Done and done! I rocked a knee high compression sock on my right leg today and that helped. My foot is still not jiving with certain skips and my ankle is still not as flexible as it was before I had to wear a walking boot for 10 weeks, but the compression sock DID help. (I know you feel me, Joe!) My wrists and forearms are feeling those chinups, though, despite only doing five not six. But I got it done! 👊
