WEIGHTS QUESTION…
I’m looking to get back in to Jump Rope after 8 months off, but I want to work on getting stronger in the arms and get a bit of muscle too.. I don’t have access to a gym as I don’t have time.. what weights could I get at home to help me build some muscles while skipping too?
Thanks in advance 💙💙

Hi All…
Been a while since I stopped Jumping Rope in October 2023 due to losing my brother at 43..
I’m trying to find a way to motivate myself to get back in to it.. I’ve gone from 16st back to nearly 18st cause I’ve had the can’t be assed attitude…
How do I get my arse back in to Jumping Rope and motivation I’m finding it well hard ☹️☹️
Hope everyone is well and having a nice weekend!

Sorry for lack of activity and motivation, some might’ve seen my early post few months back about my brother… sadly on the 6th October he passed away and times been shit since then.. 😔 skipping has totally gone out the window for me, but will see what next year brings, maybe I might get back in to it.. keep up the hard work guys… 💔💔💔

Hi All,
I’ve taken a week out due to finding out my brother has terminal cancer so jump rope has not been on the agenda.
Got back in to it yesterday and that break definitely effects you, I feel like a newbie again 😆 tried running in place, and just can’t get the hang of it, anyone got any tips how to do it? I just feel like I’ve mastered regular bounce now!
I’ve also added in resistance bands to my workout, so I can focus on upper body strength too.
Hope everyone has been #DOINGTHETHING 🦾 have a good weekend!

Hi Again,
When using digital weighing scales, is it best to use ST/LBs or KG or LBs I’ve got scales with these 3 settings but not sure which ones are better for weekly weigh-in’s?

Hi All,
Now the UK is coming in to the crappy weather, I’ve got no garage or shelter in my garden, can you still jump rope in the rain? 🤣 (as long as it’s not belting down) anyone done this? Unfortunately not lucky to have weather like you fellow Americans 😂😂

Hi All,
I’ve just done day 4 of the 7 day challenge which I made only just 🤣🤣 was hard work but smashed it. Had a shower and noticed my toenails are bruised/slightly black ☹️ my foot ware is perfectly fine, so not sure if anyone else may of experienced this? Been ok while doing just the regular bounce, this was with press up’s, planks on todays workout. 😃

Hi all,
When jumping rope, are you letting the rope hit the mat as you swing it around, or do you keep it from hitting the mat?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi All,
Hope everyone is smashing it as per.. I’ve got a question. I’m currently doing Tues/Thurs/Sun for jumping rope and rest days on the alternate days, as I’ve not mastered it yet, do I stick with that or try and do everyday so I get better quicker? Not doing too bad, just finding it a little struggle to get 30s done continuously. 🥲 I always get the first couple then my legs don’t want to know lmao 😂
BTW, my mat and handles arrived, in which I’m buzzing as they look epic when working out 🤜🤛

Well did my first proper workout today, used the 7 day challenge video, well what a workout. I put my hands up too you all, especially you ladies as I’m definitely feeling it 😆😆
Sat writing this, and my legs are feeling tight, achy and same with my arms too lol was amazed I managed 5 press ups after and same with my shoulder blades are achy so I’m assuming this is all good, and I’ve woke my muscles up 😂
Had a few times with tripping on the rope, and managed to complete 2 whole 30 sec rounds and that was it 🤣 rest was like 10,7 secs out each time but enjoyed it, and was drenched in sweat! This is going to be hard I can see it but hopefully worth it 💪
