When depression hits, hit harder. Even if it's 10 seconds it's better than nothing. It's better than lying around and accumulating pain. I had a traumatic experience in March and doing the thing is what kept me out of the "pit". Here I added some traditional drills to the Shredded Ninja Program week 7.

As a fellow drinker I noticed that cutting carbs and eating below below my daily cal threshold has helped along with consistent training.
