Hi everybody! I've been gone from the community for a week, and was wondering how everyone was doing so far with the program! I ended up behind a week on JRD MAX due to scheduling conflicts and adverse weather. I do my jump rope workouts outside, and we've had some crazy rain storms in my area. Just because I did not jump rope doesn't mean I did not exercise--I just did some Kettlebell workouts instead last week.

There doesn't seem to be any crazy weather this week, so I am taking the opportunity to catch up. Despite being a week off, I managed to do more pull ups in the Day 1 workout than ever before! Looking forward to starting Month 2 next week!

Sure. Dan in the workouts mentions just doing more push-ups if you don't have access to a pull up bar. Tricep dips are certainly something else.

Hi my fellow Jump Rope Dudes and Dudettes! Just checking in and hoping everyone is enjoying this workout program as much as I am! I ended Week 2 with less soreness in my triceps and shoulders compared to Week 1, so I was feeling good for today's workout (Jump Rope, 100 Push-ups, 50 Pull-ups). On the pull-ups front, I find myself able to do a bit more than before, but push-ups have always been my bane! Still stuck with the amount of reps I stayed at last week, but I think I can try for a few more in Week 4!

I noticed that happened with me too, but dang your muscle vascularity is even more visible than mine! Hardcore!

Get after it :)

Hi Dan, I'm into Week 2 of the program now. I changed the amount of push-ups and pull-ups I've been doing for those particular workouts after my first experience with them last week. Especially with your emphasis on doing just the right amount where you can go through the entire 5 (push-up) or 10 (pull up/chin up) sets.

For example: in Week 1 Day 1, I mostly tried to do as many push ups as I could in 30 seconds and of course I did not so many in the later sets...when I went through that workout again yesterday, I did about 20% fewer than my max amount in order to keep it consistent through the 5 sets.

Hi Steve, I'm into Week 2 now and I am committed to finishing the entire series. I said it before, but I like the simplicity of the workout format. I modified the amount of push-ups and pull-ups I'm doing for the second week's workouts based off of the first week. I plan to modify again for the third week after seeing how I feel overall at the end of this one.

The push-up ladder really creeps up on ya! I had to stop at around 9-10 push-ups when I did the workout (stayed at 10 even as Dan went up to 11 and 12 push-ups in the ladder).

Hi everybody! Hope you're all doing the thing!

I'm into Week 2 of the JRD Max program. Hopefully the weather holds over here since I do all of my jump rope workouts outside. I had to rearrange some workouts last week due to heavy rain in my area. Second week means second run through of the workouts, which means I modified the amount of push-ups and pull-ups I did for Day 1 based off of how my body reacted to the amount I did last week. Day 2 (Jump Rope ladder) was mostly the same as last week for me. Day 3 is up for me tomorrow!
