Well wasn’t that fun! I love the plyometrics/jumping combo. And I need a routine to follow, not good at free style anything!😂😅

Beautiful Dan, that’s what I’ve been waiting for!

I’d say go smaller. As you improve, you will want a shorter rope. I started with med (way too big) and am now skipping only XS. 🤣

Here’s what I do in a nut shell (not a video). 😂

I couldn’t wait, especially when CR had them on sale along with the speed ropes I needed. I guess I’ll just have to buy another set when the JRD ones come out. 🤣

I always do my own warm up (about 12 min of dynamic movements) and cool down (15 min of static stretching). For me, both are essential parts of my daily routine.

I use the CrossRope mat but before that I bought interlocking, dense foam rubber squares from Lowes and used them. Anything that gives you a bit of cushion and the rope protection from too much friction will work however.

If you’re new to jumping rope, you’d be best to ease into it with jumping not more than every other day to prevent injuries. There are plenty beginner workouts that are totally appropriate until you are ready for a full program. Don’t rush things, but do the thing!
