Just did Month 2 Day 4 EMOM from JRD Max in the park this morning. It's hot and humid here in NYC this morning which makes the workout that much harder. But I got it done, and had some fun. Happy Sunday!

Month 2 Day 3 of JRD Max in Brooklyn now that the smoke blob has moved outta here. Felt bad-ass today. 💪😀❤️

So...NYC is blanketed in wildfire smoke from the fires up in Quebec, and the air quality is bad enough this morning that it is recommended for even healthy people not to work out outdoors. And while I am generally stubborn to the point of being stupid, I am going to listen and not work out today since I had a weird lung issue years ago and do not want to repeat that. Also, it smells like smoke and my throat is scratchy just from sitting in my apartment with the windows open (I have no AC here). So...I'll pick things up tomorrow if this smoke cloud moves on its merry way. (Meanwhile it looks really weird here. It's hazy and the air is sorta yellow. Very apocalyptic!)

Month 2 day 2 of JRD max. There’s a point where Dan says something like “we’re almost halfway through” and I’m like nooooooo that can’t be I thought we were almost done lol. But we got through it! And had fun. 🤓❤️

First time doing Month 2 Day 5 of JRD Max and I thought it was a fun one. I'm off to my 30th college reunion for the weekend (nice to be showing up to that feeling fit and trim, right?), and then back to Brooklyn for a week. All this running around is exhausting but my workouts are the one consistent thing for me right now! Have a great weekend, everyone!

I don't know why the pull-ups and chin-ups tax my pec muscle so much, but they just do. And I now know all too well the feeling of "you are now going to injure yourself." So I replaced that portion of today's workout with a dumbbell circuit I like and just kept the video rolling to hang out with Dan and use the timer for my own purposes for my dumbbell sets. Onward we go! Happy Hump Day, people!

Just started Month 2 of JRD Max. Day 1 was a fun one. Might add a couple of extra push-ups, jump-squats next week? We'll see how I feel. It's a holiday here in the States, so I will get out for a hike later today even though my quads and glutes will be sore (thanks, Dan!). Have a good one, everybody!

Finally moving on to Month 2 of JRD Max next week. So today was my last push-up ladder. That workout is INTENSE in all caps! Sheesh! I've gotten better at it every time though, which is the point, right? Onward we go! Have a great weekend, friends!

I'm doing JRD Max Week 1 for the final time before finally moving on to week 2. I think I had a little breakthrough with the chin-ups today? Definitely can go all the way up and all the way down no problem, but the breakthrough is that I can now stay centered and not swing my legs forward which I was really having a problem with before. Also, there was something about swinging forward that--I think, knock wood--was also the culprit in hurting my pec muscle? We'll see how I feel later. I did not push it too hard, and just did 2 to 3 each set. So fingers crossed!

Unbelievably lousy day yesterday that stressed me out and affected my sleep. Woke up this morning knowing today would be hard, plus I’m headed to the airport in a few hours and have not yet packed. And yet…I did the thing because I knew I’d feel better and stronger to face the day. And…I do!
