5,000 skips in just under 40 minutes, pausing every 1,000 skips to do some ab work. 3,000 with the 1/4, 1,000 with the 1/2, and 1,000 with the 1-pounder. Crushing sets of about 140 skips each round on the 1-pounder when I used to not be able to get 100 at a time. Feels good! Let’s gooooooo 💪💪

Been going rogue and making up my own workouts for a bit. Today 2,500 skips with the 1/4, 1,500 with the 1/2, and 1,000 with the 1-pounder. Took 43 minutes and also did some abs. Let’s get it!

Spinning the rope is still aggravating my right upper arm, whereas straight-up strength stuff seems fine. So once again made up my own workout: Circuits of 10 push-ups, 25 jumping jacks, 5 burpees, 10 crunches, and 10 bicep curls each arm with a 15-pound weight. I planned to do this 20 times, but only did it 10 and it freaking killed me lol. It took me just over 30 minutes to complete 10 circuits. Those burpees. Only 5 each time but they kill me! Will be coming back to this to improve upon it!

I did something weird to my right upper arm where spinning the rope is aggravating it. But one of the many things I love about having learned about fitness from Dan here is that I now know how to simply adapt. So today I made up my own workout and did an EMOM for 30 minutes. 15 jumping jacks, 5 push-ups, and 5 ab crunchers or 10 bicycle crunches. Was a great workout, and didn't mess with my arm while I let it get better and get back to jumping. Will try to go for a 4-mile walk later if I can too.  Let's get it, peeps!

First time doing M2D4 of heavy ropes. (Am I crazy or does Month 2 seem a lot easier than Month 1?) Today's workout was 4,000 skips with Dan with the quarter-pounder. I just turned on my amp and jumped at my own pace along with the video and ended up at 5,500 skips, which I was pretty darn happy about. Feeling super sweaty and strong. Let's get it, friends!

First time doing M2D1 of heavy ropes. Felt good to be able to crush the jump rope sets and push ups but only got 300 skips with the 2-pounder. I’ll do better next week but that thing is a beast. Crushing with the 1-pounder though now like it’s no biggie. Very fun. (And so many choice comments in this one from Dan Witmer that made me laugh. Love it!)

Did the day 5 of month 1 heavy ropes for final time today. Tried at my own pace with all the set number of skips the same as Dan. If you follow Dan, you finish in between 47 and 48 minutes. I finished on my own in under 45 which felt good. I was so resistant to embracing these heavy ropes but it feels like such a full body pump and the gains are fast. I love it! 🤜🤛💪

Wanted to see how long 3k skips with the one-pounder would take me left to my own devices and the answer was 43 minutes. Dan does it just under 40 in the M1D4 of heavy rope. So I’d like to get there! I’ve done month one four times through now but might do it one more time just bc I’m improving so much every week and it’s fun. Let’s get it, friends!

Third time doing M1D4 of heavy ropes. Today I did sets of the full 100 slips along with Dan. My left wrist starts to really give out and ended up needing to take longer breaks on the last 1,000. But got it done. Feeling pumped up. Meanwhile Dan Witmer always ask if we prefer music or no. I know I’m in the minority but I preferred having music in the workout as I can’t get my levels quite right to play my own and hear Dan. But I’m happy any way!

Second time through M1D4 of heavy ropes. Last week I did 80 skips every time Dan did 100 with the 1-pounder. Today I did 90. So next week I’ll amp up to the full 3,000 skips as Rx. Good stuff!
