I went running this morning to give my arms a break. I forgot that April is mud season and yes that’s a very real thing as all the dirt roads get muddy from the snow-melt and then torn up by cars and trucks. Makes for tricky footing when it’s bad. It’s fun though to watch tourists get stuck in it haha. Happy weekend!

Sure, there’s still snow on the mountain behind me but spring is finally coming. Woohoo! Just did Wednesday’s WOD. Subbed in 1/2 lb and 1 lb ropes for 1 lb and 2 lb and it still kicked my butt. Eventually I will toss the 2-pounder back in the mix but today was not that day. Gonna play hooky from work and go for a long walk this afternoon. Don’t tell! 🤓🤓💪💪😎😎

i'm still skipping around, doing workouts that look "fun" but won't tax my right pec and let's be honest also my left shoulder. And so I skipped ahead to JRD Max month 3 and did the double-under gauntlet. Managed 25 every time except for a few mess-ups so did an extra 20 at the end as I wanted to be able to say I'd done a total of 500. Woohoo! Have a great day, everyone! Let's do our best!

Was in a foul mood this morning and felt like I needed a workout buddy! So even though I'm not doing JRD Max right now, I did the EMOM from JRD Max Month 2. I upped the DUs to 20 each minute and the jumping jacks to 20 each minute, and still had a rest of 15 to 20 seconds each time so it felt perfect. I was jealous of Dan outside as I'm in my cold-ass basement in Vermont this week, but I'll be in LA in just over a week and CAN'T WAIT. Look for me, Dan! I'll be the other guy with the jumprope haha.

Monday mornings can be overwhelming, looking at all the b.s. I have to do for work and life, etc. But I did one of the April workouts this morning with heavier ropes and lots of push-ups. My pec muscle held up, so I think I could restart JRD Max again. I'm going to wait for a few more weeks though as I have a bunch of travel coming up and like to be flexible about what workouts I do when I'm in a different city. Looking forward to exercising in the sunshine and warmer temps in Los Angeles starting in the middle of next week! Let's go!

Ran intervals this morning and was shocked at how fast I’ve gotten. These high intensity JRD workouts have really pumped my running up several notches. Still had something in the tank so followed up with the April Ab-Mania workout. That was no joke! Was grunting out those ab crunchers as best I could ha. Loved it! Have a great day, everyone!

Two minutes into my workout, a group of out-of-towners assembled near me, listened to their preacher, and then had a very intense prayer circle (pictured). Shortly after they’d started a daycare wheeled in about 15 kids on a trolley and they were all also right next to me (also pictured). Kind of hilarious. Gotta love Brooklyn!! ❤️❤️❤️

Have gained a couple of pounds back in the last two weeks. Not thrilled about it but I knew it was happening by what I was eating. So…had fun doing the thing this morning and now back to our regularly scheduled better food choices ha. 😀😀🤓🤓

Always feel like a bad-ass when I work out in the park for some reason. Beautiful morning here in Brooklyn to do the thing. Now time to hit the showers and do the less fun thing (meaning work lol). 🤓😎💪🌞

Turned 52 this past week. I also had a very stressful week workwise which took a toll. I def ate my feelings in pizza and cake and I have no regrets lol. Didn’t jump all week but ran instead to give my pec a chance to recover. Did a jump and full body workout just now and felt good. Still not 100% so will avoid pull-ups for another week. It’s back to nyc for a week now which means early morning workouts in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park which I always find fun. Happy Sunday, gang!
