I think you’ve got the right idea. I’d focus on 2 pound rope. What’s your max time now? I’d start doing 5-6 rounds of 75% max and then start adding 5 seconds to each set week over week.

Dude! Think of who you want to be. What actions does that person do? What habits do they maintain? I think complete restriction ends with binges and sentences like “I just need to get back to it.” I encourage you to challenge yourself however you see fit, but make sure it’s sustainable. If bring booze free for the rest of your life is what you’re into, awesome. If not, maybe set some guidelines like, “I’ll only drink on Friday, if I’m not at home and I’ll limit it to x drinks.” <— this has been a much more effective approach for my brain.
