That I can’t advise on lovely. You want to stand on the middle of the rope and the tops of the handles should just reach your armpits. That’s the perfect length. Any longer or shorter you have to work too hard and jump too high. Tripping issues. Perhaps shoot CrossRope customer service a question they sre excellent. ☺️

Carl Harrower regards the mat. Great question. I did comparisons on Amazon, read the reviews but ended up with the CrossRope Mat. I never have any issues with one of my knees which suffered a severe impact injury. I can’t run. But I can jump with the mat. So check out Amazon and when it makes sense get the more expensive one. You do get for what you pay for, but shipping can be dreadful. You could always look for a second when one on eBay or another marketplace local to the Uk.

Carl Harrower yes. Get the AMP handles when you’re ready. I had a love hate relationship with them. Thought I worked hard til I got my handles and then my yesterday version of me would whoop todays version of me. Lol. And I can’t stand to lose! So they were perfect. Now I won’t jump without them. I like to see my stats on the leaderboard! Ba ha ha ha!

Carl Harrower well, not sure if it’s the best. Lol. A lot of people on here do warm up. When I was boxing, as in the sport, our warm up was 3 minute rounds of jump rope getting faster and faster, 3 sets. So I just warm up with the rope.

Can you share a video of what you do Lindsay? You’ve peaked my non warm up interest. 😂😂😂

If you’re new to skipping jump with out the rope, still swinging your arms like you’re holding the jump rope. Get your rhythm then grab the rope. As soon as you lose your rhythm, drop the rope and jump without it again, swinging your wrists like you are holding the rope. When you find your rhythm, grab the rope. Within 2 to 3 days you’ll have it. When I started I couldn’t jump more than 60 in a minute, I was quickly to 120 and now at peak max out at 212 per minute. You can do this!

Get the mat and the AMP handles. Well worth the investment. I’ve had my weighted ropes for 2 years. Got the AMP handles last year, and competing against yourself sucks. Lol. I had a love hate relationship with the handles, as I saw I wasn’t as fast as yesterday. But it made me better and faster and stronger. So excited for you!

I just jump. That warms me up. No injuries and I have a dodgy shoulder and tennis elbow. I do stretch AFTER for my shoulders and calves. No shin splint or issues and I jump, when just jumping for at least 30 minutes, up to 1 hr. I have a 60 second break after 3 minute intervals, or similar.
