Thank you for the support and encouragement. I actually did an entire workout today with the 1/2 lb rope. Now I didn't do the double under, because I am not there yet. So I ran in place or just did regular jump in place of it. And I managed to keep my intensity up. I hope I am starting to progress in the right direction.

Okay guys and gals I need some suggestions. I have been working my way through the Torch program, but I can not for the life of me use the 1/2 lb rope consistently. I have tried using the smaller handles, and I still find that my arms just give out. I am very conscious to make sure I am rotating from my wrists and not my my whole arm. I start out using the 1/2lb and end up having to go back to the 1/4lb to finish my workout. Now, when I do drop the weight of the rope, I try to pick up the intensity, but it is frustrating to not be able to progress. I mean how I am ever going to work towards doing the heavier ropes, if I can not handle the 1/2lb. HELP!!

I have a stupid question...is it wrong if I use the smaller handles with the 1/2 lb rope instead of the heavier handles for the workouts? I didnt know if I would damage my ropes if I did use a chunkier handle, but those bigger handles are hard for me to grip well at this point.

So I finished the Beginner Portal, and started on a new chapter to begin. I started the Total Body Torch program yesterday. However, I have had back surgery previously, so it is a must that I take a day in between jumping sessions, and not jump back to back days. I have found it to be much better to do a workout one day, and then focus on walking the next just to give my back a break. I am enjoying my jump ropes again and loving the workouts, but I have to listen to my body. I am trying to still be encouraged with my commitment and progress, with the understanding that it may take me a little longer to get there. So today was a walk day. And tomorrow, I will be back at it doing the thing!!!

I have a weird medical question and anybody in the community that may have knowledge in this area. I have to have labs drawn on Tuesday for a doctors appointment, and just wondering if doing a high intensity jump rope workout tomorrow will alter any of these results? I just don't want anything to elevated that is not supposed to be.

I would like to lose another 5-6 pounds but mainly I am wanting to get stronger and lean up a bit more. Overall, I hope to feel healthier in 3-6 months.

Just remember to take it slow, and check with your doctor before starting back up. Hopefully you have a speedy recovery!!!

I do feel like I need to start at the 7day beginner challenge when I can get over this sinus crud. I thought I was better and ready to go.

And now today, I feel like I may be having a set back. The weather has been crazy around here, up and down temps, rain, and my sinuses are not happy again. I just can't seem to catch a break from this.
