Hey guys and gals!! So about 2 weeks ago I came down with a pretty severe upper respiratory infection that wiped me out. I was on a bunch of meds including a steroid. When I was breathing a little better last week, I started exercising again but I  kept my workouts very light with some walking on my treadmill. But now that I am off the steroid and my HR and BP have normalized, I am wanting to get back in to jumping again. Before I got sick, I was working through the Beginner Portal workouts, and having a great time. But I am wondering where is a good place for me to pick back up this week. Do I just continue with the beginner portal workouts, or should I go back to the 7-day trial workouts? I know I need to take it slow getting back in, and to listen to my body. But any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ugh, I think that is what I have now. Started feeling bad Sunday morning when I woke up. And progressively this have gone down hill each day since. This morning, my face is swollen and I have little to no voice. I hope you feel better soon, and can get back to doing the thing!!

It was an exercise today on the Beginner portal Jump and Ab workout. I ended up just watching Dan do it, and figured it out from there.

I have a stupid question...what are bicycle kicks?

And what about music from Apple Music? I have my own jumping playlist on Apple Music that I love to jump to, but I haven't figured out how to play it in the background while playing the videos from the app.

It was my first time trying this workout today. I managed to get to 3500 skips by the end of the video, and my legs and arms were spent. I was tripping all over the place, and my form was being compromised, so I stopped. Hoping to finish the full 4000 next week.

Thank you. That comparison is good to know. Maybe I will try the JRD90 when I am further along.

I am kind of leaning towards that program. Now that I am getting back into this again and my body is remembering that it used to do this, it feels so good after I completed a workout. My stress and anxiety have gone down, and I am feeling much more energized.

Hey Jump Rope Dudes!!! I wanted to give a quick update. I am finally on Day 6 of the 7 day beginner challenge. I have been taking it slow since I am just getting back in to this. But usually I jump every other to every 2 days with walking on the incline treadmill in between. Just wondering which program I should go to after I complete this. I have been looking at maybe the JRD90 or the dumbbell programs.
