Did the Chad 1000x workout first:

  • 5 min step ups (w/ 50-lb ruck)
  • 1 min rest
  • 4 min step ups
  • 1 min rest
  • 3 min step ups
  • 1 min rest
  • 2 min step ups

Then the Power Jump workout.

That's the face you make after: OUCH.

Some days the "intensity" is just to keep the rope moving.

That is all.

Hey JRD nation!

I'm looking to train and complete the Chad 1000x again this year. 1,000 step-ups as a workout in honor of Chad Wilkinson and veteran mental health awareness.

The training plan is here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0562/9722/6420/files/CHAD1000x_Training_Plan_2022.pdf

It's 3x/week.

Any thoughts team on how to incorporate this on a weekly basis the coming (6) weeks until Veteran's Day/Week?

I'm on the monthly challenges, typically 3-5 of the workouts per week. Consistently 4.

Want to balance these two and thinking (3/5) JRD and (3) of ths GoRuck.

Since the plan is mostly lower body focused, I'd do the JRD workouts that are core, upper body, and/or jump only.

Thoughts?

Thank you!

Been doing the thing since roughly April I think.

Of all the workouts, three have been my kryptonite:

  1. Those early workouts with the 1lb and especially 2lb rope.
  2. Tabatas with lots of double under sets
  3. All the ladder workouts/long sets.

How about you? Which workout(s) you know going in are burn?

Hey JRD!

Problem solving collab.

I got the complete (Lean and Get Strong) sets from Crossrope.

Small and big handle and the 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 lb ropes.

How do you do today's workout with the 1/4, 1/2, and 1lb with only (2) handles and the 15 second breaks?

I just switched it up and did 1/2, 1, 1/2, 1, and 1/2.

Maybe I just gotta buy another set of handles.

Thoughts?

Checking in everyone!

Still here in MN doing the thing as summer wraps up, house (still) hasn't sold (yet), and kids are heading back to school.

Consistently hitting at least 4 and sometimes all 5 of the WODs.

Modding lots with bands without my pull-up bar (100lb band ain't no joke!) and simply for my own novelty.

Love seeing all the posts from JRD dude and dudette vets and rookies alike.

Stay gameful!

Morning JRD nation!

Celebrating the results of JRD this morning.

Went on vacation Thursday - Sunday on the North Shore here in Minnesota.

Three days full of hiking, climbing, and keeping up with my three kids.

I didn't bring the jump ropes with to the campground (saving the wear and tear).

That said, I had the best endurance/stamina I've ever had, energy all day long and only wishing we could have done more.

If you're just starting out - keep doing the thing.

JRD works.

Morning all!

Went and played softball yesterday where I graduated (been 10+ years since I was there).

Got (3) very genuine compliments on my physique from an older gentlemen who was envious of how I was built, my old catcher who said how lean I was looking, and another as well reiterating the other two.

The point?

JRD app/monthly challenges WORK!

I'm not appearing shirtless with Dan/Brandon on a JRD YT video by any means, but for anyone just starting or around (3) months or under jumping, keep going and keep doing the thing.

Pays off.

Hey Dudes and Dudettes of JRD nation,

Anyone else experience pain/soreness on the TOP of your foot?

No shin splints or other minor injuries for me (3) months in, but last week or so has been more bothersome than usual.

Thoughts? Solutions?

Thank you!

We're moving JRD community.

Had to take down my pullup bar and start packing away equipment.

Been taking the exercise given and swapping it out for a banded version of some sorts.

Know it's not the "same" technically, but still getting after it all the same.
