Summer shred Week 2 Day 2
Sweaty selfie time!
The days are getting hot so I decided to use a more shaded area of the parking lot instead of my usual spot at the park today.
And just like with all the other Tabata workouts I’ve done in the Shred Challenge so far, my body didn’t feel it until about the third round through. I wanted to stop at round 4. High knees will gas you out quickly if you do them the right way 😜

Summer Shred Week 2 Day 1
Hey JRD Community, how’s it going? I opted to start Week 2 a day early due to scheduling issues for the upcoming week. Having to do double unders for an entire minute was ridiculous when I can barely do 20 seconds at a time. I ended up doing them in spurts instead for each round 😅
Opted to finish with pull ups post-workout today, since the park I use has pull up bars available. It’s my weakest Bodyweight exercise and I need to do more of them

Summer shred Week 1 Day 4 done!
Nice sunny morning today for a workout! I could never get the Teeter Totter down in previous workouts and kept tripping on the rope in round 1, so I substituted Jump Rope Run in Place for rounds 2-5. It’s easy to do and it burns a lot of calories compared to other jump rope moves when done at a high intensity.

Summer Shred Week 1 Day 3 done!
Today is birthday number 40 for me. Didn’t expect I’d be doing this one on my 40th birthday 🥳
I also did this one fasted so that I have an empty stomach to enjoy piling up for the rest of the day! 😄

Summer shred challenge
Week 1 day 2 done
I tried to record my fifth round through the circuit and didn’t realize that my phone was using the rear camera instead of the front one today! D’oh 🤦♂️
I’ll try to record a round for tomorrow’s workout
Today’s workout didn’t seem bad until about the third round. The first round I was wondering why it felt so easy, to be honest. I was ready to be done after the fourth round though after how tired I became.
Used the Get Lean ropes for today, with the Get Strong handles on my 1/2 lb rope. Let’s go everybody!

Hey all,
I finally started doing a jump rope workout again today! It's been too long, and I missed doing them so much! I think I'll take it easy and focus on Jump Rope + Bodyweight stuff for now until I feel my back is 100%--I had injured it doing a workout program that focused exclusively on lifting and swinging around heavy iron weights. So, I don't exactly feel ready to start off the JRD Dumbbell program just yet. Hope everyone is still having fun with that one.

Hi everybody!
I recently injured my upper back, so unfortunately I'll have to push back my planned Jump Rope & Dumbbell workouts a bit longer. I will also probably be using lighter weights than planned when I do get around to it. Lower chances of injury for me personally whenever I use lighter weights.
Already went to the doctor last Friday and confirmed that nothing is wrong with the spine via X-rays and CT scan. Just muscle strain/sprain I guess. Hope y'all are smashing your workout goals 💪

Hey everybody, I wanted to say I am loving all the posts I have been seeing about the dumbbell + jump rope program so far! Unfortunately, I am in the middle of a different 12-week program (halfway through Week 6 on that one now). It is not a program I plan to abandon halfway through. So, I won't be joining in on the Dumbbell fun until many of you are halfway done! Guess I'll just encourage the other late starters with me, haha 😅
Best wishes to everyone's success! It looks fun enough that I think I just might jump straight into it once I finish my current program!
