Enjoyed today’s ab-o-rama. Fun to remember that I used to not be able to get through a full 30 seconds of plank jacks or really do windshield wipers at all. Now? No problemo. I look forward to feeling this way someday about pull-ups lol. Looking firearms to the call today. (And did anyone check out tomorrow’s workout? I’m excited!)

Went hard today and felt amazing. Going out for a fun lunch today, I will take a nap this afternoon, and this weekend will do some long walks and take some sips in the river. Happy Friday, gang!

Everything feeling sore today, so stretched a bit before the workout, particularly my quads. Then I went ahead with the workout and focused on my DU form, trying to be lighter on my feet. I find that when I'm lighter on my feet and stop slightly bending my knees when I jump, I exert less effort doing the DUs and the whole thing just feels better and more economical. Didn't quite get 500 total as I did on Tuesday, but close! And now...hitting the showers and getting to work. Trying to channel all this good energy for what will be a busy day with some unpleasant tasks. Let's get it, peeps!

Hi gang. Doing the pull-ups and chin-ups is causing me pain in my left elbow/forearm (almost like a sprain kind of feeling) and also a tight and uncomfortable pinch under my right armpit (and weirdly there is now a big bruise there--no idea what happened there). ANYWAY...in the name of not getting injured, I subbed in bent-over rows with dumbbells for all of the pull-ups and chin-ups. I always feel like a stud when I finish this one! Let's get it, friends!

DUs

Remember less than two months ago when I couldn’t do even one double-under and my forearms and shins were covered in bruises from trying? Today I did 25 DUs every 20-second interval with zero mess-ups for a total of 500 double-unders in the workout. For anyone struggling with it, be stubborn and keep trying. Eventually it will click!!! 😎😎❤️❤️💪💪

Low-key struggled with the workout today but got it done. I always have things I tell myself to get through. Here are a few:

  1. I’m not going to achieve my goals by NOT finishing the workout.
  1. A little mantra: “I could do this all day.” Not true but it helps!
  1. A little lie: “You’re almost done.” Amazing how I can convince myself of that over and over.

What about you all?? 👍🏻💪🤓😎

Crushed an abs workout with Brandon this morning. Then did a bunch of double unders just cuz. I can now regularly do 50 consecutive DUs with the quarter-pound rope. I did a bunch with the half-pound for the first time and got over 20. Then got cocky and tried with the three-quarter pounder and was like helllllll no lol. Have a great day, peeps! ✌🏻💪😎

In a weird schedule due to travel but now I’m back home and in my usual groove. I did yesterday’s workout just now. I can now do 2.5 consecutive pull-ups and 3.5 consecutive chin-ups each circuit. Slowly progressing there which feels good. Finally realized that the pull-ups need a really wide grip which has helped tremendously. Pistol squats? More like pistol bends but getting there. I love that, counting the warm-up, this workout includes 140 push-ups and I’m like, “yeah whatever no problem.” That was not the case six months ago! Always feel like a beast when I finish this one. Let’s go!!!! 💪💪🤓🤓✌🏻✌🏻

Last day in California. No more beach workouts or poolside workouts. 🥲🥲 flying back to Vermont on a red eye tonight which always kills me so tomorrow will likely be a day off. But just did the thing here and feel great. Happy humpday, friends!!
