I like that Lindsay. The ability and the privilege. What a great attitude.

Larry (my hubby) calls you, "Lindsay, my JRoD brother."

I haven't tried a little jump in between. I'll see how that works. I have to do that when I use the two pound rope.

Good job. The more you do, the better you'll get 🙂. Joe's suggestion is a very good one. You could also use a chair by placing it in front of you and putting one  foot on the edge of the seat using it as support.

Aletta, I am 56. When I first started jumping I couldn't even do 5 minutes without resting several times. I don't know where you are in your jumping but you might need to start with the 5 or 10 min workouts on the youtube channel (you can always add more circuits) and work up to the 20 to 30 min ones. Of course you can always start a program no matter what level you are at. Just take breaks when you need to. Also, don't feel like you have to do the tricks. It was an aha moment for me when I heard Dan or Brandon say that those were not necessary but mostly to keep things interesting. Consistency is the key. It might help to think in terms of jumping daily instead of in terms of months as this needs to become a life style. It helped me.

But for weight loss, nutrition is more important. Make sure you are eating healthy whole foods and are in a calorie deficit.  There is a nutrition program you can access here as well.

Stay in touch. You will get good support here.

I had some Achilles trouble a few years back as well. I wasn't jumping then but I was running a little. I had to quit for a few of months for it to heal. But I continued walking and doing squats and push up and things like that. Find what you can do and be patient with the healing.
