Beautiful sunny days are not common in the Netherlands, so if we have one of those days, like today we can't resist. I had a bad start of the day because of my hormones and bad sleep. I had the work, but lucky me we finished early. Now I can spend some time with doing nothing and refill my battery again. Maybe go for a walk in the evening and feel better again tomorrow.

I could not resist 🫣
It has been three weeks I didn't jumprope. I planned not to jumprope for a while, afraid to injure myself before my planned vacation. So I did other workouts instead to let my calf heal properly. But guys I am officially hooked. I missed it to much. I planned a cardio session today, with a proper warmup and foam rolling, I. DID. THE. THING.
And what a sweaty one it was and a good heartrate recovery as well. The calf raises paid off. I felt very strong in my legs.
I hope you all can forgive me thinking I could do without 😂🤣

Nice bike ride today. A little bit fresher than last week, but very nice. Almost 2 hours on the go and 36K. On the way I saw that the Tulip fields are flowering.
Have a nice Sunday and a great new sportweek 👍

My first bike ride of the year and it was awesome, fantastic, great, do I say more 🤔
I planned it for yesterday, but it was warm and windy, so we went this morning. It was still warm and windy, but it didn't bother me at all. Usually after winter I have to get in shape again. Little pains on my but and shoulders appear and I am exhausted after a while and need to rest. Now we had to rest two times, because my husband needed the break 🤣😂
A whole new experience for me 💪 I was cycling in front and giving the phase, even going into the wind. I am so happy 😊
Can I upgrade my review JRD Community Dudette about the Dumbell Program 😜

Today is just one warm day, because of a heatwave from the south of Europe. It's early in the morning and I went for my daily walk of 5K to start off. Lot of outdoor activities planned. Gardening and later going for a bike ride. Also the first of this year. We had a lot of rain starting the year. Hope that will change soon.
I decided to change my workout routine and incorporate more outdoor activities like walking and cycling. I pause the Dumbell Program for a few months. I have a calf strain again and need some rest from jumping frequently to let it heal properly. In June I have planned my vacation and I don't want to have injuries. On the other hand I need more strength for the planned hikings. So I will stay consistent with the workouts, but challenge myself with different ones.
I want to learn myself to do a proper push-up, so I am going to focus on that these months and start a new Program later this year. I will be jumping after my calf healed as a cardio workout, but not 5 days a week 🫣

The best chocolate mousse
I made myself this gorgeous mousse for breakfast.
For 2 servings
1 ripe avocado
2 ripe bananas
2 tsp of Macca powder
3 tbsp of raw cacao powder
1 scoop of protein powder (I used chocolate flavour)
Some milk of your choose to thin it down.
For topping add some fresh fruits, granola or something else of choose. I also added a tbsp of hennepseeds for extra protein and omega 3.

Enjoy 😊

Couldn't resist to share my before and after picture and telling something about my journey last year.
I got Covid in December 2022, which was only a minor cold. I stayed at home for 5 sick days and did go to work again. But the energy was gone and I struggled every day. Gasping for air after every effort. Climbing the stairs was a big thing now. In March 2023 I went to my GP for a health check-up. Maybe it's menopause or something else, we couldn't pinpoint it. I decided that I had to take some action for myself and looked for activities I would like and could stick to.
First I found Crossrope and started their programs in the free app. The workouts weren't that satisfying so I also did workouts on my cycle to increase my endurance again. In the process I also lost some of the weight. After my holiday in June I joined the JRD community and from that time I found my happy place. Workouts I can handle but still not 5 days in a row 🤫
In December the "Slate the Scale challenge" came and I was definitely going to beat myself with that one. Unfortunately there was a lot of stress in my body and I felt extremely overloaded. I paused all plans and decided that gaining wait wasn't an option, but rest was extremely needed. In January the Dumbell Program was launched and I felt that I could do this one.
Now three months later I feel great. Not much weightloss or centimetres, but a lot of other changes happened, evenly important.
✅ My endurance score went up from 3300 to 4062
✅ My VO2 Max went up from 34 to 37 (in March last year it was 32)
✅ I'm not gasping for air anymore
✅ More light feeted
✅ and I feel stronger by the week 💪
And thanks to the community I can stay consistent, because you all inspire and motivate me. My figures are healthy again, but I still want to lose more fat (weight). See what happens next year.
