It looks like the mute video option has disappeared from the app. Is there a way to get that feature back. Thanks JRD Community Dudette and Dan Witmer!

JRD DB Program Complete:
I can’t believe I stuck with something! This was a huge fitness accomplishment for me. Thanks to the community as well for so much support.
Okay, here’s a short debrief of my first program:
Things I’m Proud Of:
💪I completed 5 days a week for 3 months straight while balancing work and a demanding pickleball schedule. 😂
🍺I abstained from adult beverages, and my diet was on point. For much of this time, I had great sleep, abundant energy, and excellent mental clarity.
🫸I made choices based on what I wanted and chose not to succumb to peer pressure.
Things I Learned (the Hard Way):
🥀I overtrained. Not only did I overtrain, but I also pushed myself too far and “blew my engine.” I’m still “sick” after the last day of training, and my HRV is still 20 points down even after a week off. Did I see the warning signs? Absolutely. Did I slow down? No, I’m stubborn. Instead, I doubled down and started doing two-a-days for the January Challenge.
What did I learn? Well, I’m 44, not 24. As crazy as it sounds, I need rest. For my next program, I’ll plan to take a recovery week every 4 weeks. If I need it sooner, I’ll listen to my body.
🧘♂️Fitness is a long road. Ultimately, I’ve realized that I need to do less to achieve more if I want to make this a sustainable habit into old age.
🌞Consistency matters. I learned that I’m really happy with a consistent workout routine, and a little effort goes a long way.
Here’s to a well-deserved break! I’m excited to start my next adventure/program! 🎉

TorchMe: W2D1- Holy Dang! Three months into jump roping, and this might’ve been the hardest day yet. Yes, adding an extra quarter pound to the rope definitely made it harder but back to back double unders, ouch! I watched Dan’s double under tutorial today and decided to do double unders with 2 to 4 skips in between before doing the next one. Was definitely feeling more confident by the end of the workout. Don’t stop till you get enough!

TorchMe: W1D5- 3 more double days until l’ve completed the dumbbell program then it will strictly be torch time. Double unders are hard, like real hard. I could only manage 17 seconds straight before a self imposed shin lashing. Yet, how rad, a new skill to practice and learn. Next up, 18 seconds! Major props to everyone and all the progress folks have made this week.

TorchMe: W1D4- Felt that one! I’m loving the skip variety. Good physical and mental workout. Favorite skip of the day, A-frames. Like jump rope can cans. Let’s go!!!

TorchMe: W1D3 in no more! Todays workout was a slow burn. 🔥 New guilty pleasure, single leg skips. I love seeing everyone getting after it!

TorchMe: D2W1 Complete! Also, 6 days left of the Dumbbell program. Leg battery low today, but some good tunes helped get the job done. I usually supplement running in place with single skips, yet, I’m glad today’s work out pushed me to practice something I’m not particularly good at. . .yet. 😁

TorchMe:D1W1 DONE! How bout those jumping lunges? 🤤I’m trying to finish my last two weeks of the DB program and get in the January Challenge. It’s freezing here so, why not! I’m excited to go on the journey with the JDR Community.

Jump Rope/ Dumbbell Month 2 is no more! I survived the holidays with all of their delicious temptations. I definitely enjoyed myself, but for once, with moderation. I felt really good strength gains this month and set (3) goals for myself.
*10 sets of 10 push-ups in 20 mins
*15lb weights for all exercises by EOM
*Mountain bike x1 per week.
I’m stoked to say I accomplished all of these and was even dipping into 17.5lb weights in the last week.
It’s the last month of the current program and I’m excited because it looks like it finishes with a bang! It’s freezing here and the days are getting darker and darker but I’m gong to turn those seasonal blues into lots of skips. Soon it will be skies out thighs out! Let’s get some!!!
