Rita - HUGE hat tip from another snowy place (Minnesota).

Congrats to you on turning jumping rope and JRD into a lifestyle, into a part of your identity.

Keep doing the thing and we'll keep cheering you on.

So it's 37F here in Minnesota.

Between houses and no garage to workout in.

How do Crossropes do in cold temps?

Did the Chad 1000x workout first:

  • 5 min step ups (w/ 50-lb ruck)
  • 1 min rest
  • 4 min step ups
  • 1 min rest
  • 3 min step ups
  • 1 min rest
  • 2 min step ups

Then the Power Jump workout.

That's the face you make after: OUCH.

Some days the "intensity" is just to keep the rope moving.

That is all.

The Prime Costco Specials (low-top Adidas) :) One day I'll pony up for a solid pair of GoRuck ballistic trainers or NoBull shoes.

Thanks TJ!

With our move I had to take my pull-up bar down from the rafters. I've been subbing HEAVY resistance bands rows/pulldowns and/or full bridge holds or press ups like Convict Conditioning.

Hey JRD nation!

I'm looking to train and complete the Chad 1000x again this year. 1,000 step-ups as a workout in honor of Chad Wilkinson and veteran mental health awareness.

The training plan is here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0562/9722/6420/files/CHAD1000x_Training_Plan_2022.pdf

It's 3x/week.

Any thoughts team on how to incorporate this on a weekly basis the coming (6) weeks until Veteran's Day/Week?

I'm on the monthly challenges, typically 3-5 of the workouts per week. Consistently 4.

Want to balance these two and thinking (3/5) JRD and (3) of ths GoRuck.

Since the plan is mostly lower body focused, I'd do the JRD workouts that are core, upper body, and/or jump only.

Thoughts?

Thank you!

JRD is definitely solid prep for the "pain and torture" that is PT. Keep us posted as you recover and can't wait to have you back firing 100%.

Great answers all! Glad I'm not the only one out here not on "speaking terms" with the Beast as Joe said so well.
