Month 2, Day 1 on a Thursday is better than no Day 1 at all!
I’ve needed to take a bit more rest this week than I’m used to which likely only means that I’ve taken rest like I’m supposed to. Finding balance is still something I’m working on in my life, inside and outside of the gym.

When I’m not jumping rope, I’m working hard to advance my art career. I am used to pushing the limits of what I’m told Ican do.

Today I made 85 push ups and did some extra explosive squats and lunges… but for some reason I thought we were doing pull ups too so I was really trying to save some steam for that.

As my trip to London is next week, I may repeat week one when I get back, and just do what I can do between now and when I leave — while staying consistent.

Here’s a sweaty Me and my current work in progress. Hope it brightens your day.

Keep killing it fam ☺️

Joe De Luca maybe someday an opportunity will

Come. I’m very focused on developing my art career at the moment. But I also love being on the app here and a part of the community. If JRD ever expands maybe I can help out! You gave me something to think about so thank you for that. ❤️

I'm unsure if I understand your question, but I'll try to answer.

I do feel a difference, and I feel much better now. However, it isn't an apples-to-apples thing--they are different approaches to develop and maintain a fit & healthy body. But when I was bodybuilding, I was training for a show. So my whole routine/schedule/diet revolved around building muscle, adding volume, etc. I built a lot of muscle over a period of 1,5 years, and on top of that, I had a solid base to work from, being that I've been active my whole life (from running/yoga/HIIT/lifting/boxing/walking/dance, etc.). And I eat really well, which I believe is about 80/90% of the work. So, my lean body now comes from shedding the fat from lifting and eating a lot to grow muscles!

Is the jumping enough? For me -- I'm a busy body. I supplement it with yoga, walks, and sometimes sprint workouts. If I lived somewhere where the weather was better and had more access to nature, I'd be outside playing far more than I am now. I am just an active person. I really, really, really like moving my body. And the major difference now is I feel 'lighter' which I prefer, I have more mobility than when I was lifting heavy, and more time because I'm not at the gym doing these long push pull leg schedules. The jumping is play, which adds more play and joy to my life.

Something that HAS noticeably improved has been my cardiovascular endurance. I used to be very cardiovascularly strong but when I shifted to body building my cardio training was reduced to just casual walks. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But as a life long runner I really missed the heart pump from something more cardiovascularly intense — & the mood boost has been the best added bonus.

Hope that helps! xxx

Month one complete!

I have been a bit quiet on the app this week, just dealing with some things in my personal life. But I’m proud of myself for staying committed to my fitness and the program. Will likely rest tomorrow and get back to it on Tuesday.
Today was just about getting it done. I worked hard this month like so many of you. I also went to yoga this morning and left with such a chill vibe which influenced my flow for sure. But the skips were fun and I rep’d out my push-ups. 117 in total. Last week was the strongest. Today was simply a testament of consistency & completion.. Now time to replenish! Also not mad about the abs poking through ahha
Hope you’re all well out there and killin’ it!
