Hi everybody! Late post for the day, but I just wanted to check in to report that I have completed Month 1 Week 3 Day 1 of the "Jump Rope + Dumbbells" program. This will be the second to last time I do this workout for this 12-week run it seems.

Using heavier weights than recommended tires me out faster, but I like feeling exhausted at the end of a workout. Also, I was already sweating like crazy at the end of the second round (out of five total)

JRD Jump Rope and Dumbbell program

Month 1 Week 2 Day 5 complete! This completes the second week of the program, and the first half of Month 1

I am halfway done with Month 1, which means I'll be starting Month 2 in two weeks!

I have to confess that I have always hated doing push-ups, and I still hate doing push-ups. I still do them anyway since it's an effective bodyweight exercise that hits the chest and triceps if I do them the right way and they don't require equipment or very much space.

Replying on Sunday. Saturday was actually a busy day for me so I took it as a "rest day" in my workout schedule. I did get in my jump rope workout for the day when I woke up this morning though so there is that!

JRD Jump Rope and Dumbbells Month 1 Week 2 Day 4 is complete!

Hot day today, which meant the sweat appeared early and often. I was completely drenched at the end (and out of breath because I wanted to max out my intensity for this workout)

JRD Jump Rope and Dumbbells Month 1 Week 2 Day 3 is complete!

Last week this workout absolutely destroyed my quadriceps muscles and I spent the day after walking with a limp.

Today the workout was still rough, but I don't think my legs will be feeling too bad despite deciding to stick with the same weights that I used last week (20 KG/44 lbs Kettlebells)

I think I'll stick with these weights for the next two weeks for the Leg Day workout.

Tendinitis is no joke. It kept me out of being able to jump rope for months. Congratulations on reaching Month 2

JRD Jump Rope + Dumbbells Month 1 Week 2 Day 2 is complete!

Nothing fancy, just went in, #DidTheThing, and went on with the rest of my day. Like Dan says in the video, "It's like Elongated HIIT training", so I just went at it at the highest intensity I could muster.

I hope everyone is also doing well on their journeys!

Hi JRD Community! Month 1 Week 2 Day 1 of the “Jump Rope + Dumbbells” program is done!

I decided to up increase weight of the bells this week, and I gassed out. But in a good way, I love feeling exhausted after a good workout

Tried to flex for the photo but I guess it looked better to myself IRL than it does on camera 😅

Aletta Armee I’m taking it easy this time to avoid injury. As much as I can do a lot of double unders I find that I injure my Achilles tendon when doing them now. So, that is a jump rope move I have avoided doing in my workouts. I just substitute “jump rope sprint” instead

Hi everyone, just checking in with the community after today’s workout! Month 1 Week 1 Day 5 of the Jump Rope + Dumbbells program is done.

To be honest, I did not want to do a workout today, but I pushed through those feelings to get it done. Otherwise I’d be messing up my schedule!

All those bicep curls surprisingly got a burn in even though I was using relatively light weights (15 lbs). 100 push ups also did a doozy on my triceps.
