Yeah, I can only go partway down before my legs give out. Now I know where that point is, I take it just that far. Would love to be able to work up to doing the real thing.

Hi Gary.

I use AMP and JRD, too. I have Apple products, though, and use two devices. I run JRD app on my iPad tablet and connect AMP handles to my phone, while running the Crossrope app on it. I know that doesn’t solve running it all on one device. But, for what it’s worth, that’s what I do.

I think it’s helpful to think of each workout as a victory. Go in with a plan for the week, but a plan is hypothetical and is just a guideline. The action is progress, inaction is neutral and standing still - not going backwards or negative. You’ll move forward again soon. I usually work out 5x a week. This week a migraine took out two days and then our water pump broke leaving us without running water. I had to shift my work schedule to accommodate a technician (and I couldn’t shower) so I missed another day. Sometimes it’s just like that. You do what you can do and that’s enough. Maybe next week we’ll both get closer to accomplishing the plan. If not, that’s okay as long as we’re doing what we reasonably can.

I think you look great! The rhythm, height and footwork look good to me especially considering how new you are to jumping. Other than wandering off the mat (which I still do sometimes after five months) it looks like your left elbow may be tucked into your side slightly more than your right. This can cause a narrowing of the width you have to jump over when the rope comes low. It’s not a big deal for basic jump but could cause tripping when getting into tricks with feet apart. (I know from experience-I found my right arm likes to rest higher than my left if I’m not paying attention. When I start to trip up, that’s usually the culprit.) A mirror or video can help you make sure arms look identical in distance from the body and height from the ground. You seem to have great coordination, though. Just keep it up and the rest will follow!

Awesome! And, welcome. 😁I started with the 7-day challenge and now am completing five straight months of jumping. The key for me, like you said, is it’s fun. Happy jumping!

It’s going well! Starting week 8 today. I have found myself modifying more in this one than for JRD Max, but it’s helpful that I feel like I know my limits. For instance, last week’s day one called for 250 push ups- I managed 200 knee push ups. On the pull ups - last week called for 6 each set. I was able to do three negative pull ups each set. My double unders still have 2-3 little hops between most of the time though I’ve gotten up to nine without the hops in between-working on it a little each time. The cross cross I whipped myself pretty significantly and had to stop mid-workout to take a break. Later filmed myself to study why it wasn’t working and think I was jumping too soon. In general, I like learning the new tricks, but I’d probably be more successful practicing them before doing them in the workout. 😉 I’m definitely progressing - in stamina, strength, speed and jump rope ability. I hope it goes well for you and you can stay injury-free!

Yeah, we did not do the garden this year. So much effort to keep the deer and rabbits out. Glad yours are well fed.😉
