Two questions. Why am I old? Why am I fat? Hopefully we can reduce that to one question.

Just completed the first workout of JRD Max and wow, that was tough! I can do the grand total of zero pull-ups, so I did inverted rows instead. Definitely won't be able to feel my arms tomorrow πŸ˜‚

Aletta Armee oh absolutely! When I'm using a rope, I'm not very coordinated at the minute and need to practice πŸ˜‚ at least with this type, I can just keep going and learn the footwork! And I don't whip myself πŸ˜‚

Aletta Armee oh I'd noticed the side swings in this challenge too, so I just did regular jump rope for those sets. I also like that it can be done anywhere and I'm going to be away with work for a few weeks in December, so I'll pack these with me πŸ˜€

Joe De Luca thanks Joe! No excuses not to work out when the weather is shocking now πŸ˜‚

MichaΕ‚ Tyburczy I think you're right, but there's no way I'd motivate myself to jump rope in the rain and the local gym here is quite expensive. I still have a long way to go, so I think these will get me started and then I'll be able to break free with ropes when the weather is kinder πŸ˜€

Something arrived today! I had to share this with my fellow JRD buddies! Winter is setting in here in the north west of the UK, which means rain and cold weather. I've had to do a lot of the challenge inside, so I bought a cheap ropeless jump rope to get the workouts in. I was saving for a new phone, but hey, I can use this one for a while longer and I splurged on the whole ropeless set from Crossrope. I've had a little swing and I cannot wait to use these! Definitely far more fun than a new phone! At least this will give me time to save up for the ropes for when the weather is better 😜

Well done on completing it!

Stephen Payne Thanks Stephen, it definitely is a bug haha! Thanks for the tip for the dumbbell programme, I had looked at that one too. I'm going to save up and get a set so I can basically work through everything I think! I want to try them all!

I've just bought a pull up bar as I thought I'd give JRD Max a go next. I mean I can do the grand total of zero pull ups at the minute, so I've been looking at modifiers for that., but thought at least I'd see some improvement from nothing haha!

The other programme I was considering as I'm so weak in that area is the 4 week Push Up programme, again just to get myself up to full push ups rather than having to drop my knees for support.
