It looks like the mute video option has disappeared from the app. Is there a way to get that feature back. Thanks JRD Community Dudette and Dan Witmer!

Any update on this?

I know they aren’t going to block out sound, but I always keep coming back to AfterShokz. They are a great option if you don’t like things in your ear and don’t want to wear over the ear headphones.

JRD DB Program Complete:
I can’t believe I stuck with something! This was a huge fitness accomplishment for me. Thanks to the community as well for so much support.

Okay, here’s a short debrief of my first program:

Things I’m Proud Of:
šŸ’ŖI completed 5 days a week for 3 months straight while balancing work and a demanding pickleball schedule. šŸ˜‚
šŸŗI abstained from adult beverages, and my diet was on point. For much of this time, I had great sleep, abundant energy, and excellent mental clarity.
🫸I made choices based on what I wanted and chose not to succumb to peer pressure.
Things I Learned (the Hard Way):
šŸ„€I overtrained. Not only did I overtrain, but I also pushed myself too far and ā€œblew my engine.ā€ I’m still ā€œsickā€ after the last day of training, and my HRV is still 20 points down even after a week off. Did I see the warning signs? Absolutely. Did I slow down? No, I’m stubborn. Instead, I doubled down and started doing two-a-days for the January Challenge.
What did I learn? Well, I’m 44, not 24. As crazy as it sounds, I need rest. For my next program, I’ll plan to take a recovery week every 4 weeks. If I need it sooner, I’ll listen to my body.
šŸ§˜ā€ā™‚ļøFitness is a long road. Ultimately, I’ve realized that I need to do less to achieve more if I want to make this a sustainable habit into old age.
šŸŒžConsistency matters. I learned that I’m really happy with a consistent workout routine, and a little effort goes a long way.
Here’s to a well-deserved break! I’m excited to start my next adventure/program! šŸŽ‰

TorchMe: W2D1- Holy Dang! Three months into jump roping, and this might’ve been the hardest day yet. Yes, adding an extra quarter pound to the rope definitely made it harder but back to back double unders, ouch! I watched Dan’s double under tutorial today and decided to do double unders with 2 to 4 skips in between before doing the next one. Was definitely feeling more confident by the end of the workout. Don’t stop till you get enough!

Looking smooth!

Kimberly Robinette I think Aletta Armee rest day is spot on. I think the great thing about how Dan has set things up here is that he’s provided the tools but totally encouraged folks to use them how they see fit. It’s all about consistency. So if you do Day 1, 5 days in a row, awesome! You consistently got up and moved five days in a row. Maybe next week you do day one and day two, but the main thing I’ve learned is just to keep doing it no matter what it is. Just my thoughts. Great job of starting the journey!

TorchMe: W1D5- 3 more double days until l’ve completed the dumbbell program then it will strictly be torch time. Double unders are hard, like real hard. I could only manage 17 seconds straight before a self imposed shin lashing. Yet, how rad, a new skill to practice and learn. Next up, 18 seconds! Major props to everyone and all the progress folks have made this week.
