Unfortunately my skipping is on hold for a few weeks. Broke 2nd metatarsal skipping last week.
Had under 19,000 skips to finish July challenge of 200,000 skip. Oh well, I know it can be done.

Keep DOINTHETHING.

Jump Rope & Dumbell
Month 2, Day 4: 4,000 skips
34 min 07 sec
BUT as I mentioned I am NOT taking the Rest time. Continuing to skip the entire workout. At rest time just doing regular bounce and the web Dan restarts, back to freestyle
Instead of 4,000 skip I completed 5,086

An extra 1,086 skips in same amount of time.

Want to make your workouts harder without adding more time…..JUST KEEP SKIPPING. don’t take rest periods.

167,003 skips in, 32,997 to reach July Challenge of 200,000 skips.
Oh it will get done!

Finish 2nd round of JR&D about a week ago and now just doing some of the Ladder, all skipping workouts from JRD Max and JR&D.
I mentioned on my last day of 2nd round that I started to NOT do the rest periods when skipping the last 2 weeks. Instead of resting, I continue with regular bounce during the rest time
Today I did JR&D M1 D2 TOTAL CARDIO. Total skip count was 4,298. Compare that to when I took the rest time and my count was 2,952.

An additional 1,346 skips. Same 31 minute workout.
Another way to make a workout you have done before harder. Not only by using a heavier jump rope or increasing your dumbbell weight.

Just keep jumping. Instead of the REST period, continue with regular bounce.

I am at 148,079 with 10 days to get to 200,000 to complete the challenge. The extra 1,346 goes a long way when trying to get 200,000

I did finish 2nd round of JR&D
Used 1/2 lb rope entire 90 days
Increased weights
At the end started to skip the rest time while skipping
Many ways to change it up, may it more challenging
Was 176.1 in Jan 2024 when I did the 1st round of JR&D, the 30 day Plyo, then 2nd round JR&D
Now 159.8lbs. Pic shows when I started and now

Now I am doing a 200,000 skip challenge I. July. 1/2 way through. Mixing up all the “ladder” workouts on the app. Maybe back to a program in Aug

M3W2D5 JR&D. 2nd round completed. Using more weight AND 1/2 lb rope.

Looking for more from same workout. STOP TAKING THE BREAKS DURING JUMP ROPE PORTION. Definitely adds to the workout.

2 more weeks and 2nd round using only 1/2 lb rope and heavier weight will be done.
I also comp,eyed a 100,000 skips challenge in June.

Finished month 2 JR&D ROUND 2 yesterday. This time only using 1/2 lb rope and increasing weights.
First round was started Jan 2024. Weighed in at 176.1. Today, starting Month 3 163.2. Almost 9lbs lost.
Also doing a 100,000 skips challenge for month of June.

Been awhile since posted. Starting Month 2, Week 4. JR& D using 1/2 lb rope and 20lbs or more. Also joined a 100,000 skips challenge for June on YoaYoa app. App tracks your jump/skip count with either Apple Watch or certain earbuds.

I have an xcel file that I made up with various skips to use during the workouts. Dan pretty much does Regular Hops, Boxer, Run in place. These are jumps/skips that everyone should be able to do. I mix it up. Do 100 of each and make my way down the list. Do a ladder with criss cross/ double unders. 9 reg and then criss cross ordouble under to 100. Then 8 reg and criss cross or double under to 100, then 7 reg……

All kind of ways to practice various skips during a work out.

Round2. JR&D. M2W1D5. Yes. 1sr week of Month 2 in the books
2,025 skips warmup with 1/4lb
1,750 skips during workout using, OF COURSE, the 1/2 lb. Rope
Now, I a, trying to get to 100,000 skips by end of May for a challenge on the YoaYoa app so I have to get to 8,000 today so another 40 minutes to get last 4,250. 🤞

Yes, very important to listen to your body. The 6” between the ears deserves as much effort as we put in for the neck on down. I like your term “cocoon day”
